Check the 20:53 spot snapshot against the morning lower-end scenario, distinguish position recovery from sustained acceptance, and clarify that tonight's existing home sales is still pending release.

Gold's evening snapshot is above this morning's low reference, but a rebound in position does not mean the entire trend has reversed. This article first compares against the morning conditions, then checks the events still pending release and the key points to watch the next day. The New York session is still underway, and this does not pretend to be the day's closing result.

Evening Snapshot: Return to Near Historical Reference

The Kitco article is marked New York, October 13, 08:53 EDT, which is 20:53 Beijing time, with the top at 08:54; spot bid 4180.30, ask 4182.30 USD/oz, displayed range 4150.10—4201.40. Page label differences are retained; the data is not the execution price on all XAUUSD platforms.

Compared with today's 09:25 same-source bid 4155.30 and ask 4157.30, both ends increased by 25.00 USD. The two time points can only show a change in position; they cannot prove there was no decline in between, nor can they replace the full intraday path. The current data low of 4150.10 and high of 4201.40 belong to the page's statistical scope and require separate verification of the window.

Lower-End Scenario: Position Recovered, No Complete Acceptance Process

The morning strategy observed the 4150—4155 lower end and required sustained acceptance and subsequent recovery evidence. The evening snapshot is already above that area, but this article does not have continuous chart confirmation of the entire retest process, so the morning scenario cannot be written afterward as a verified profitable call.

What can be retained is that subsequent quote positions moved higher; what still needs verification is whether the recovery persists and whether the original invalidation state appeared during the period. The two questions are recorded separately, rather than only selecting favorable screenshots to prove oneself correct.

Historical Reference 4180—4185, Evidence Still Needed to Hold

The current bid-ask is close to yesterday's historical reference 4180—4185. This position is not automatically reliable support or resistance; approaching, crossing, and sustained holding need to be judged separately. If after recovery it continuously falls back below and the rebound fails, the recovery assumption should be reassessed.

The higher morning observation zone of 4215—4220 has not yet been reached in the current snapshot. The page also shows a lower high, but different statistical windows cannot be directly pieced together into a definite high sequence. The current data is insufficient to give a farther target price, and round numbers are not used to fabricate prices.

Bull-Bear Divergence: Both Recovery and Continued Weakness Need Verification

Bullish research focuses on whether pullback acceptance can continue and recover previously lost positions; bearish research focuses on whether the rebound cannot hold and whether lows continue to move lower. These are conditional frameworks, not already confirmed future directions.

This article did not simultaneously obtain the dollar index, Treasury yields, or reliable new policy data, and does not attribute tonight's recovery to some unverified news item. Facts, possible explanations, and the next verification remain distinct; market hot topics are not fabricated for narrative completeness.

Tonight's Existing Home Sales, Result Not Yet Due

The New York Fed official calendar lists US existing home sales on October 13 at 10:00 US Eastern Time, corresponding to 22:00 Beijing time. As of this article's 20:53 reference time, the calendar-listed time has not yet arrived; no actual value is filled in and no expectation gap is guessed.

After release, check the coverage period, prior revision, and content, then compare the price reaction under the same scope. Without a reliable consensus expectation, do not write "clearly exceeded expectations," and do not directly treat a demand indicator as a certain reason for gold's rise or fall.

Next Day Focus: CPI and Comparison Scope

The same official calendar lists CPI on October 14 at 08:30 US Eastern Time, corresponding to 20:30 Beijing time. The schedule may be adjusted; confirm again before release. Headline, core, year-on-year, and month-on-month should be separated, not mixed into one number.

At the close, preserve the original strategy, tonight's positions, and the still-missing data; note the time and reason for correction in the original article for obvious changes. Separately verify positions, pending orders, fees, and program status. Leveraged trading may cause major losses.
